How do the downloads work and where are they hosted?
When you click download, you retrieve the official pre-compiled installer for your operating system (.exe for Windows or .dmg for macOS). All releases are cryptographically signed and hosted securely on GitHub Releases. The application is completely code-signed, ensuring no third-party tampering can occur, and runs natively with a minimal system resource footprint.
What happens during the installation process?
The installer sets up the CyberForget client and registers a secure virtual network interface utilizing the state-of-the-art WireGuard® protocol (using the ultra-fast Wintun driver on Windows and a native Network Extension on macOS). This enables the application to capture and encrypt system-wide network packets directly at the kernel level before they even leave your computer, protecting all your installed applications seamlessly.
How does the cryptographic handshake establish a secure connection?
CyberForget operates on a Zero-Knowledge Architecture. When you click Connect, your client locally generates a standard X25519 public/private keypair. Your private key never leaves your device. The client sends only the public key to our orchestrator to request a dynamic session slot. Once authorized, a secure WireGuard tunnel is established using military-grade ChaCha20-Poly1305 or AES-256-GCM encryption.
How does the Zero-Logs architecture protect my data?
Our server network is built on fully diskless, RAM-only nodes. All operating system and routing tables run in temporary memory. Because there are no physical hard drives or persistent databases attached to our network nodes, no logging of connection times, IP addresses, bandwidth consumption, or browsing history is physically possible. Once you disconnect, all state records are instantly destroyed.
